Well 2009 is drawing to an end. It has been an extremely busy year for the band, and all of us individually…writing, recording… general life… and notably – my special lady and I had a baby boy Hugo on 3rd Dec. He politely arrived between commitments, and is of course a little gem. We could not be happier. Thank you for everyone’s well wishes.
Now, it's time to have a rest, but we thought it was time to let all those out there in Fingerland in on what’s happening in our camp, and it's my turn….so here goes.
We recently played a couple of gigs at Homebake, one for a small audience in the “Entertainment Quarter” in Sydney and Q150 in Brisbane, and we enjoyed them immensely. We tried to mix the setlist up a bit for Homebake, the jury is still out on that one..the next two seemed to flow well. It was great to see Custard back for the Brisbane gig. They were in extremely fine form, and I know there are lots of people hoping that it won't be a one off show.
Whoever was in charge of the weather for Q150 definitely could have turned the thermostat down a little, but I guess it's not worth complaining about.
A lot of people were pretty tipsy towards the end there. Lucky I drank that water. Thanks for warning me about having too much, and sorry for saying "idiot".....
Hope you all had fun after, and teeky didn't dominate the dance floor too much.
Have a great Christmas and break and all that.

Ah yes. God he looked ggeroous then. I remember seeing him for the first time on Top of the Pops doing Starman. I fell instantly in love. I saw him play at The Rainbow, Finsbury Park; Hammersmith Odeon; Earls Court. 1972.Some people say he is the only English solo popstar. I suppose there is also Morrissey, but he never cracked America in the same way.
